Mechanical Catenary Grid

Mechanical Catenary Grid

The catenary grid is a machine fit for polluted waters and precisely for the filtering of the solid parts contained in them.
The machine is particularly suitable when the waters to be filtered flowing in a canal of predetermined size.
The operating principle is the following: the water is introduced in the channel and it is intercepted by a filtering grid.
The grill retains solids which dimensions exceeding the light passing; purified water comes out and the solid parts remain attached to the grid, which could become clogged in a short time if there wasn’t a system to clean the machine.
A special device, constituted by brushes fixed on a drive chain, provides for the cleaning of the grill and the conveying of the screening material toward the discharge chute.
The solids are dragged from the brushes and the part that can’t escape are removed by a special blade, mounted on a lever with rises with the passage of the brush, its weight is calibrated in such a way as to give the correct pressure to the bristles.
On the motor shaft is mounted a limiter which occurs when there is some mechanical obstruction preventing breakage of moving bodies.br>
